Hobson Leavy is pleased to announce that Justin Tighe-Umbers has been appointed Chief Executive Officer at National Road Carriers.
Justin has most recently been the Board of Airline Representatives New Zealand’s (BARNZ) Executive Director, where he was instrumental in helping the aviation sector navigate the recent border closures. His career has spanned a number of industries, starting out in IT for London trading banks and insurance, then spending 13 years working in the telecommunications sector in senior management roles. These included business account management and regulatory management, and finishing up leading a successful major legacy IT system replacement delivery programme.
Justin’s extensive experience has been built on helping senior leaders work together through developing strong relationships across businesses, industries and with the government. Prior to BARNZ, Justin worked with Chorus for eight years, where he held senior management roles in the regulatory, operational, and commercial areas. This included working in the Chorus legal team on the Telecom Demerger and the establishment of the Crown Fibre Holdings Ultra-Fast Broadband agreement with Chorus.
