Hobson Leavy is pleased to announce the appointment of David Traill to the position of Chief Executive Officer for the Pacific Catastrophe Risk Insurance Company (PCRIC).
David brings to the role a solid grounding in insurance having worked in a number of organisations and across a diverse range of areas looking after underwriting, product development and pricing. Over the past 10 years he has built an understanding of risk exposure drivers and has re-engineered commercial line businesses to be more growth effective. A holistic thinker, David is passionate about improving economic outcomes for communities.
PCRIC will play a key role in strengthening the resilience of Pacific Island countries to natural disasters and climate change. PCRIC offers sovereign parametric insurance for climate and seismic hazards, designed to payout to governments within 10 days of a triggered event to provide immediate access to liquidity for disaster response increasing the financial resilience of Pacific Island Countries.
