Tupu Tonu, Ngāpuhi Investment Fund is entering an exciting new phase of growth.
Following an organisational reset, Tupu Tonu has established strong foundations and is now focused on strengthening organisational capability, enhancing performance and positioning itself for long-term success. To support this evolution, Tupu Tonu has created the position of Chief Operating Officer.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this is a broad enterprise leadership role responsible for providing the organisational backbone that enables the business to operate with confidence, discipline and clarity. You will work across every part of the organisation, ensuring strong governance, effective risk management, organisational performance, operational planning and high-quality reporting.
Beyond internal leadership, you will play a significant role in managing relationships across Ngāpuhi, Crown agencies and key external stakeholders, helping ensure the organisation continues to build trust, credibility and influence.
This role will suit a commercially astute executive who enjoys bringing structure to growing organisations, lifting organisational capability and enabling executive teams to perform at their best. You’ll be equally comfortable leading operational improvement, navigating governance environments and engaging confidently with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You will likely bring:
• Senior executive experience across operations, strategy, governance or corporate services.
• A proven ability to lead organisational performance, enterprise risk and business improvement.
• Experience working with boards, government agencies or complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong commercial judgement combined with exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
• A collaborative leadership style and the ability to build high-performing, engaged teams.
