Hobson Leavy is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Washington to NZX-listed Scales Corporation LTD as Chief Financial Officer.
Ben joins Scales after six years with KMD Brands Limited (KMD) – ASX/NZX a specialist technical apparel group consisting of Kathmandu, Oboz Footwear and Rip Curl. He has held a number of senior finance roles within the Group, leading teams across NZ, Australia, Asia and Europe – covering financial reporting, strategic planning, investor relations and treasury. Most recently, Ben has been CFO of the Kathmandu Brand, based in Christchurch.
Prior to KMD Brands, Ben spent ~13 years with PwC in Christchurch and London, progressing to Director level in 2015. Here, he provided a range of specialist external audit and financial advisory services to a range of large scale listed and unlisted multinational companies.
Ben is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a Member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand.
Ben will join Scales Corporation on the 1st of June. He is looking forward to joining the team, adding value to the Group, and contributing to another NZ success story with extensive global presence.
