Established in 2007, ICL Education Group (ICL) is a fast‑growing education provider, offering a broad range of Bachelor and Master-level qualifications, and English language courses to international students.
Based in Auckland, ICL comprises three private education businesses – a Graduate Business School and two English language schools – supporting over 2,500 international students. ICL has enjoyed strong growth in recent years. With recent private equity investment, ICL Group is well positioned to continue evolving its offering of high quality, highly sought after academic programmes, whilst developing and executing on its long-term growth strategy.
This newly created Chief People Officer (CPO) role offers a rare opportunity to build a modern people function from the ground up. Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Board and wider Senior Management Team, the CPO will set the group‑wide people strategy and establish consistent, fit‑for‑purpose HR frameworks across ICL’s three schools. With a highly hands‑on remit, key priorities will include workforce planning and organisational design; and ensuring the Group’s HR processes and team structures are fit-for-purpose and can support continued growth.
This role will suit a commercially minded, pragmatic people leader from a services environment who thrives in dynamic organisations. The incoming CPO will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves, while also engaging credibly at both board and executive level with respect to transformation and growth initiatives.
This position is based in Auckland.
