Hobson Leavy is pleased to announce the appointment of Miriam Dean QC and David McConnell as independent directors to the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ).
Miriam is currently Chair of the Banking Ombudsman Scheme and New Zealand on Air, a Director of Otakora Ltd and Crown Infrastructure Partners Ltd, and a Trustee of the Royal New Zealand Ballet Board. Miriam was made a Queen’s Counsel in 2004, and a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2011 for services to law and business.
David is Chair of both Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development and the University of Auckland Business School advisory board. In 2006 David received the Sir Peter Blake Emerging Leadership Award, and an Eisenhower Fellowship in 2008.
