Hobson Leavy is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Shields to the role of General Manager Quality Assurance & Professional Learning for Evolve Education Group, a champion of early childhood education (ECE) as a vocation in New Zealand and at the forefront of high-quality childcare.
Karen has an extensive career in the ECE sector. She was most recently Chief Executive Officer for Counties Manukau Kindergarten Association, after joining the organisation in 2007 as General Manager. Prior to this she was with the Ministry of Education for five years as Network Coordinator and a Senior Advisor. Before this she was Professional Support Manager for Franklin Kindergarten Association, and her earlier career includes teaching roles in ECE.
Karen has a Post Graduate Diploma in Education Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Massey University.
