HOBSON LEAVY is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles F. to the role of Chief Executive – Global Proteins for NZX-listed Scales Corporation LTD (Scales).
Global Proteins is one of Scales’ three major divisions, comprising six business units focusing on manufacturing and marketing of both edible meat and petfood ingredients across New Zealand and offshore (Australia, the Netherlands and USA).
Charles joins Scales from ASX/NZX-listed Synalit where he held the executive position of Director for On Farm Excellence, Business Sustainability & Corporate Affairs. Charles’ broad remit saw him responsible for Synlait’s farmer-facing teams, on-farm operations (Synlait Farms), sustainability, and government and investor relations. For a period, Charles was also responsible for the company’s finances – including ASX and NZX reporting.
Charles holds a strong affinity for New Zealand’s agriculture sector, spending 12+ years with Fonterra prior to Synlait in a range of finance and project, and commercial management roles. This included ~6 years as Head of Fonterra’s integrated farmer-facing offer, Farm Source, across Canterbury, Tasman and Marlborough.
He brings a strong foundation in financial management, spending time with BP, Deloitte and Goldman Sachs in accounting, corporate finance and FP& A roles in London. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds both a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Otago.
Charles joins Scales on June 1st, and is excited to support the organisation’s continued growth and expansion into new international markets.
