Hobson Leavy is thrilled to announce that Jon Raby has been appointed to the board of Rakon as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the board’s Audit & Risk Committee.
Jon brings an extensive executive career in financial services across New Zealand and Australia to the role, including 11 years most recently as CFO of ASB Bank. He has also held previous roles at Commonwealth Bank, Sovereign Assurance, United Bank, and been a recipient of the Deloitte Top 200 New Zealand as Chief Financial Officer of the Year. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of the New Zealand Shareholders’ Association, an advisory Board Member for New Zealand companies Slice and Indi, and has held previous directorships in the banking, funds management, securities broking, property management and insurance sectors.
Jon is a Fellow Chartered Accountant ANZ and a Member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Post Graduate Certificate in Accountancy from the University of Cape Town.
