Hobson Leavy are pleased to announce that Margot Gatland has been appointed Head of Enforcement at Financial Markets Authority.
Margot has extensive litigation experience in breaches in financial markets legislation and corruption and fraud investigations. She has been a member of the Enforcement team at the FMA since 2017, where she joined as a senior solicitor. She brought with her extensive experience in both Aotearoa and the UK, having worked at the Serious Fraud Office, Meredith Connell, commercial firms and in government. Margot has advised on, and been accountable for, executing the FMA’s enforcement strategy in her capacity as Acting Head of Enforcement.
