Hobson Leavy is thrilled to announce that Jeremy Togneri has been appointed to the role of Chief People Officer at the University of Otago.
Jeremy is a seasoned human resources professional with extensive experience across three countries, spanning the public and University sector. He brings strong international expertise in tertiary education, having worked at the University of Melbourne and London South Bank University, and has a deep understanding of the human resources practice in the unique academic environment.
He is recognised for delivering strategic HR objectives, managing the full employee lifecycle, and providing effective business partnering in complex, large-scale organisations. In his current role as Director, Human Resources Services at the University of Melbourne, he leads a large team providing key HR functions including advisory services, talent acquisition, compliance, payroll, and academic performance processes.
Originally from Dunedin, and a graduate of the University of Otago, Jeremy has remained closely connected to the city through family ties.
