Hobson Leavy Legal is led by Stephen Leavy. Stephen is a qualified New Zealand lawyer who practised as a solicitor with leading New Zealand law firm Russell McVeagh before moving to London and joining what was then the UK’s number one legal recruitment consultancy, Quarry Dougall, in 1997. He then recruited in the European and international markets for five years before returning to New Zealand and subsequently establishing Hobson Leavy.

The size of the New Zealand legal services market allows Hobson Leavy Legal to focus on both the recruitment of solicitors and executive search at Senior Associate and Partner level.

We aim to align legal professionals with the firm where they can best realise their potential and either progress their career to partner or maximise their current partnership practice.

Internationally we operate through an exclusive association with Shilton Sharpe Quarry
