Finance Manager


Our client is one of New Zealand’s largest companies with an excellent reputation and an outstanding performance record. This entity is now seeking to recruit a senior finance professional to the role of Finance Manager. The role reports to the Group CFO. The successful candidate will lead a team of 50 finance professionals throughout the country.

This is a crucial senior management position responsible for leading and managing the Group’s finance function in New Zealand in order to enhance earnings, meet financial performance targets and deliver strategic business goals within governance requirements and parameters. All applicants will be CA qualified with a minimum of ten years financial experience working for a large corporate.

Risk Assurance Officer


Our client is a major infrastructure operator in the energy sector. Our client is now seeking to appoint a Risk Assurance Officer. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board, this role is responsible for managing the relationships and responsibilities of the Risk Assurance office and ensuring any existing and potential risks to the Group’s business have been identified.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • working with business unit executives to develop frameworks to manage potential risks;
  • analysing organisational capability to manage and mitigate risk;
  • developing policies and annual risk management plans for translation into business processes; and
  • reporting to ensure risk management is being carried out to approved standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in identifying business risks and developing frameworks to manage risk. They are likely to have worked in the financial services sector, or potentially other large corporates. An understanding of how infrastructure businesses operate would be advantageous. This role requires someone with strong influencing skills and an ability to work through others.

Head of Internal Audit


Our client is a major New Zealand financial institution which is now seeking to appoint a Head of Internal Audit. This role reports directly to the Audit sub committee of the board and works closely with the CFO and CEO.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • establishing and executing internal audit and operational compliance capabilities;

  • facilitating effective management of internal control and compliance practices by the board and executive management team;

  • developing and maintaining relationships with all business units, external auditors and internal audit resource suppliers; and

  • communicating effectively with the board, the executive management team and outsourced service providers.

The position requires the candidate to be CA qualified with a thorough knowledge of the principles, procedures and practices of accounting and financial records and transactions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years experience either in a financial institution, or in a senior external or internal audit role in a chartered accountancy practice advising such institutions.

In addition the ideal candidate should have:

  • a sound knowledge of audit procedures with an ability to comprehend and interpret policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines;

  • the ability to implement and put in practice new ideas;

  • communication skills;

  • strong relationship management skills

  • motivation and the ability to develop frameworks and promote ideas; and

  • a demonstrated ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level.

Customer Development Manager


This is an exciting opportunity to take a senior role with the strategy and marketing team of one of New Zealand’s largest banks. The organisation is growing and has a strong vision as to its future strategy to capture increased market share.

They must have had experience working either with or inside a corporate and have both extensive strategy and implementation experience of customer programmes.
