General Manager, Finance


Our client is one of New Zealand’s largest companies in the infrastructure/construction sector and has a long established history of success. Our client is seeking to appoint an individual to join the executive team as General Manager, Finance. This role reports directly to the CEO.

The ideal candidate will be CA qualified and have at least 10 years financial and management experience. They will be responsible for:

  • Managing the company’s financial resources;
  • Overview of the Company’s accounting systems;
  • Payroll;
  • Treasury;
  • M&A and Corporate Advisory functions;
  • Co-ordinating legal matters arising within the various companies.

It would be beneficial (but not essential) for the candidate to have a background in construction, infrastructure (or possibly professional services) thus giving them first hand experience of working in an industry where large contracts are at the heart of the business.

Our client is a major New Zealand privately held company. This company is about to launch a new division operating in the business to business sector. The business’ initial focus will be on bringing a new product to market but in time additional new products may follow.

Senior Associate – Dispute Resolution

Customer Development Manager


This is an exciting opportunity to take a senior role with the strategy and marketing team of one of New Zealand’s largest banks. The organisation is growing and has a strong vision as to its future strategy to capture increased market share.

The role is primarily responsible for developing the bank’s customer management strategy which will influence growth in customers and in value.

The individual in this role will focus on:

They will be tertiary qualified with well developed analytical and strong strategic development skills. They must have had experience working either with or inside a corporate and have both extensive strategy and implementation experience of customer programmes.

Senior Manager – Professional Services

Previous relevant experience will have been gained in either a chartered accounting firm or as an accountant in a corporate environment.

Our client is now seeking to recruit a Finance Manager. Reporting to the CFO, the role of Finance Manager is crucial and is responsible for:

  • Financial accounting and reporting;
  • Treasury;
  • Tax; and
  • M & A and corporate advisory functions of the group.

The role leads a small accounting team. The successful candidate will have proven people management experience and well developed interpersonal skills. A minimum of five years post qualification experience is required, with competency in all the above areas, a CA qualification, and ideally initial CA firm training. Some experience in a company operating in the primary sector would be preferable.
