The Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) is the Regulatory Authority for Medical practice [doctors] in our country. Its primary purpose is set out in the HPCA Act and is to promote and protect public health and safety. It is responsible for registering doctors and setting standards and guidelines. MCNZ carries accountability particularly in the areas of standards, conduct and competence.
MCNZ is currently looking to appoint a new CEO to lead the organisation. Based in Wellington they will be an outstanding people leader and strategic thinker, who will be able to inspire a team and have significant expertise managing complex stakeholders.
